PAINT CALCULATOR FOR NIGERIAN HOMES

You’ve spent enough on your house. Don’t let the paint stage become another expensive guess.

You’ve paid for the building, the labour and the finishing. Before you buy paint, find out how many buckets your walls may need—and what that decision could cost.

THE COST OF GUESSING

Your walls deserve more than a guess at the shop counter.

Buy too little and the project stalls. Buy far too much and your budget absorbs the difference. And if you choose a finish without understanding the space, even an attractive colour can feel like the wrong choice.

Start with a practical plan. Tell us about your rooms or walls. We’ll show the arithmetic, the bucket count and a price estimate before you start a conversation with our team.

THE DOUBLEK COLLECTION

Find the finish that fits your next chapter.

Six starting points. Real bucket sizes and current catalogue prices. Select one, then see what your space could require.

Prices and paint suitability should be confirmed with our team before purchase. Product images show supplied finish-family artwork. Confirm the exact bucket label and colour with our team before buying.

NO BLUEPRINT REQUIRED

“I just want to know how many buckets to buy.”

That’s exactly where we begin. Measure a room, a single wall, a ceiling—or enter an area you already know. You can add more spaces as you go.

FROM QUESTION TO PLAN

Three easy moves.
No specialist language.

01 /

Pick your finish.

Choose a DoubleK paint from the catalogue. The bucket price and planning capacity come from the current product record.

02 /

Describe the space.

Enter room length, width and wall height—or a wall or area measurement. Feet and metres both work.

03 /

Take your plan forward.

See your estimated buckets and cost. Save or share the result, then send it to DoubleK on WhatsApp for a real conversation.

NO BLACK BOX

See how the number is made.

For 250 m² of paintable area with two coats of Premium Matt Emulsion, the current planning capacity is 120 m² per 20L pack.

The example excludes openings and assumes the supplied paintable area is already measured. Real projects vary.

BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE DOING THE WORK

One tool. Different starting points.

01

Homeowners

Make the finishing decision with a clearer picture of quantity and likely paint spend.

02

Painters & contractors

Move quickly through multiple measured areas and take a shareable plan into the conversation.

03

Developers & project teams

Build a preliminary quantity plan to discuss with your site and purchasing teams.

FIVE WAYS TO BEGIN

Picture the finish. Then plan the buckets.

A family room, a fresh exterior, an estate or a shop: every project starts with one good question. What will the space really need?

Warm painted walls in a lived-in Lagos-style family living room.

01 / FIRST-TIME HOMEOWNER · LAGOS

A living room that finally feels like yours.

The walls are up. The furniture is coming. Now picture the warmth of an earthy living room where everyone wants to sit a little longer. Measure the four walls, choose a finish and see how many buckets to plan for before you head to the shop.

Plan a family room without guessing at the counter.

PLAN YOUR SPACE ↗
Two-storey compound house with light-coloured exterior walls in an Ibadan-style setting.

02 / PAINTER & CONTRACTOR · IBADAN

An exterior worth measuring properly.

A two-storey house is more than one flat wall. There are balconies, returns and sections around the gate. Add each measured area separately, decide on coats and take a clearer bucket estimate into the conversation with your client.

Price the plan with each exterior section accounted for.

PLAN YOUR SPACE ↗
Row of Nigerian-style duplex houses with coordinated pale exterior paint.

03 / DEVELOPER · ESTATE PROJECT

One estate. More than one paint decision.

A row of duplexes can multiply a small quantity mistake into a costly one. Start with one house type, note the paintable sections and compare the preliminary bucket cost before your purchasing and site teams lock in the final schedule.

Build a quantity starting point for repeat house types.

PLAN YOUR SPACE ↗
Small Nigerian-style shop interior with cream walls and a coral accent panel.

04 / SMALL BUSINESS OWNER · LAGOS

A shopfront people want to step into.

That first impression starts with the walls around your counter. Picture a bright cream shop with one warm accent wall. Measure the small space, budget for the right number of buckets and discuss a finish that suits daily traffic.

Plan a practical refresh before opening day.

PLAN YOUR SPACE ↗
Family sitting room and veranda in an Enugu-style home with light painted walls.

05 / FAMILY ABROAD · ENUGU

Help them feel at home, even from afar.

Planning a refresh for your parents’ home while you are abroad takes more than picking a shade on your phone. Ask someone on-site for the room measurements, build a shareable bucket estimate and discuss the next steps directly with the DoubleK team.

Share a clear plan with family and the people doing the work.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you pick up a brush.

Do I need to know the square metres already?

No. Enter a room’s length, width and wall height, or use a measured wall. If you already have an area, you can enter it directly.

Is the estimated cost a final quotation?

No. The calculator uses the current catalogue price and a planning capacity. Surface condition, preparation, colour, application and wastage may change the amount you need. Confirm final details with DoubleK.

Can I plan more than one room?

Yes. Add up to 15 rooms or measured sections in one plan. Each area keeps its own dimensions and opening counts.

What happens after I calculate?

Your plan appears immediately. Save it as a PDF, share the link, or open a prepared WhatsApp message to our team. You can also ask for a personal follow-up.
